I was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Northbrook, a suburb of that city. I attended University of Illinois, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Advertising. I worked at several large ad agencies in Chicago, ultimately as a corporate media director.
When the cold and gray of Chicago got to be too much, my husband, Brian, and I packed up our dogs and horses and relocated to sunny and warm North Carolina. After working for several years as the owner and manager of a hunter/jumper equestrian facility, I decided to trade riding for writing.
I write suspense novels and short stories and particularly enjoy creating smart, psychopathic villains.
